What does Compliance Manager do for you?

Compliance Manager enables you to successfully manage your supplier compliance and ensure that it meets your business standards, by capturing all compliance data in a centralised location. You can create, view and manage audits and should non-compliances be identified, corrective action plans can be raised. Use calculated supplier ratings to quickly identify where improvement is needed. With simple and effective alerting capabilities, you and the supplier can be alerted any audits about to expire,  proactively address it and ensuring that you are always compliant. Segura also allows you to store supplier manuals, policy documentation and much more. Enabling you to send out documentation to all or a select few of your suppliers in a way that must be read and accepted, reducing and removing the need for time consuming manual processes.

Effective document management

Why do a need compliance management?

There has been increased pressure from consumers and governments, on the fashion industry in particular, to address sustainability and ethical standards within their multi-tier supply chains. This is not going to reduce or slow down, businesses have to take control proactively. In order to do this, your own standards must be echoed and enforced throughout your entire supply chain to your suppliers.

According to PWC, 50% of UK companies are still in the pre-compliance phase of the Modern Slavery Act.

Retailers' complex, multi-tier global supply chains makes managing audit certificates a big task, having a consolidated place where these can be stored, managed, corrective action planned, and to be notified when they need updating will make the steps towards complete compliance much smoother.

How do I introduce compliance management?

Once Segura has on-boarded your suppliers onto the platform, it will upload documentation, managing and storing it against the relevant locations. You can use Segura's configurable notifications to prompt when an audit or certification is set to expire.

Segura can be used to set up your supplier ratings to suit your businesses standards, by creating audit clauses and identifying them as a major or minor problem. A configurable traffic light system can be used when creating and managing audits. This will provide a clear snapshot of your supplier compliance of any particular location. For the audits that require Corrective Action Plans, suppliers can submit evidence of improvement - this evidence can then be reviewed by you or a member of your team to accept or reject. As major and minor problems are corrected and evidence is accepted, your suppliers' ratings will automatically recalculate bringing compliance a step closer.

BENEFITS

BRAND IMAGE & REPUTATION

Through mitigating supply chain risks, preventing supply chain disruptions and managing legislative compliance, you are protecting your business' image and reputation and with the rise in today's conscious consumer, this is incredibly important. Research by Julia Hartmann and Sabine Benoit suggests that consumers do not differentiate between members of the supply chain when it comes to poor supplier behaviours. Instead, they hold the focal firm responsible for everything that occurs in the supply chain and this could result in bad word-of-mouth or even boycotting in some cases.

REGULATORY COMPLIANCE

We use the saying "if a factory is seen to be ethical on Monday, will it still be so on Friday?" quite often because it's true. With this module you have the ability to plan factory visits and inspections in the most time-efficient and cost-effective way, enabling you to sufficiently monitor and manage your factories' legislative compliance.

ETHICAL & SUSTAINABLE SOURCING

The document management aspect of the system means that you have the ability to distribute your business' code of conduct, ethical and sustainability policies and initiatives like ACT across your entire global supply chain. This is done in a way that cannot be ignored, enabling you to identify non-compliant suppliers and have the insight required to source ethically and sustainably.

REPORTING & ANALYTICS

Underpinning each module is the Segura reporting & analytics tool, which gives you a single version of the truth. This powerful functionality allows you to review and understand every element of your entire global supplier and sourcing network whilst identify opportunities for improvement.
