It’s great to be recognised for our achievements in delivering supply chain transparency. We were therefore delighted when Segura was recently selected as a finalist for the New Business of the Year category at the Leicester Mercury Business Awards.

The Leicester Mercury aims to highlight innovative companies from a range of sectors throughout the county, recognising business achievements that boost the local economy and put the region on the map.
Our nomination for this award proves that we are succeeding in helping clients to take on important supply chain challenges. We’re really pleased that our solution is making a difference, and excited to see what the future brings.
Segura’s supply chain technology can be implemented across a range of industries, and we’re currently working with Responsible Solutions to explore opportunities in the construction industry. By collaborating with other organisations, we can better understand the supply chain needs of a particular industry and adapt our highly flexible solution to meet these demands.
Segura in the innovation centre
Communities Secretary Eric Pickles recently visited the still-developing Loughborough Innovation Centre and saw the budding community of technology companies in residence - which includes us! In fact, we’re moving into a bigger space within the new building as a result of business expansion activities.
University enterprise zones host a range of high-tech companies, supporting them in their development and benefitting from their expert knowledge at the University. We’re lucky to be based in such a location. The Loughborough University Science and Enterprise Park brings together dynamic start-ups and R&D facilities for global brands, as well as major public and private sector partnerships in the energy and transport sectors.
The Leicester Mercury awards
Chris Darlington is Leicester partner of global accounting group Mazars, sponsor of the awards this year. “Entrepreneurs are the lifeblood of our economy”, he recently told the Leicester Mercury, “creating opportunities for us all and driving prosperity and widespread wealth creation”.
“These awards will once again raise the profile of the city and county and demonstrate that Leicestershire is a great place to do business. Beyond that, they will allow our leading firms and their owners the opportunity to raise their profile and tell the world about their achievements and capabilities”.
