Why should fashion retailers and brands attend RSSC 2025?
Let’s look at common challenges that we aim to address at our forthcoming event.
The Retail Supply Chain Sustainability Conference takes place on Tuesday 18th March 2025 in London, and this year we’ve put a real focus on providing practical answers, innovations and ideas to common challenges we hear about from our retail industry community.
Let’s get stuck into some common challenges our community is encountering in 2025!
“What legislation do you need to be ready for in 2025/6?”
This is essential listening for CSR and Compliance leaders in the UK fashion industry as the need for your business to evidence compliance continues to grow.
Join us for an up-to-date picture of the legislative landscape as it stands. Find out what has shifted since last year, what regulations will affect your business, which carry the most risk, and how you can comply. We examine the key points of data to capture so you can resolve requests easily and our methodology to prepare yourself ahead of time!
“How can you capture and validate your supply chain data?”
How do you know your supply chain data is correct? For example, how can you be sure your suppliers are using your nominated sources? Can/Should I combine this with data from other teams?
We examine the options of using Segura to capture, collate, manage and validate your data, as well as collaboration with other 3rd party providers to aid validation.
“Do you need to build in LCA’s for your products cost effectively…is there a way?”
If you’re wondering this, you’re not alone! A number of our community are considering product Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) as a way of aiding compliance with upcoming environmental regulations. LCAs calculate a footprint per product that includes carbon, energy, water and natural resources.
At RSSC we’re going to hear from the PEF Trust who will be demonstrating a way forward with LCAs. This is an exciting opportunity to learn how, in tandem with supply chain data, they can provide cost effective LCA’s for each of your products. Join us to find out more!
“Are you compliant with deforestation regulations? How can you be sure?”
Tree cover loss has been highlighted as a key environmental target since our last event. But how do you know if your suppliers are working in forest-risk areas? How do you know if those suppliers in forest risk areas are working responsibly?
Our partner, Canopy, produces an annual Hot Button report, scoring suppliers on their environmental credentials. At RSSC we’ll hear how to get assurance, how Segura and Canopy are working towards greater collaboration and how your business can be part of a solution to protect forests for the future. This will be a great session for practicalities, collaboration and giving back!
“Are you taking advantage of the latest innovations in sustainable materials? Let’s consider ways with waste, fruit and polyester!”
Yes, we mean it 😊 From pineapples to PET, at RSSC 2025 you will get the chance to hear about the latest innovations, and hear from the enterprises at the forefront of bringing them to market.
This is a great opportunity to discover innovative solutions that deliver circularity, sustainable materials, waste reduction and emissions reduction!
Dr Jane Harris, from UAL Fashion, Textiles and Technology Institute, will introduce three innovative enterprises delivering different solutions; from iinouiio, Ananas Anam and Project Plan B, all delivering real-life use cases and insights.
You’ll come away equipped with new ideas for sustainable and circular design as well as new connections to carry forward.
“How do you keep the board engaged in sustainability and transparency projects?”
Are you finding that the company board wants quick results but your sustainability projects deliver more long term value? Has the temperature towards ESG grown tepid in your business?
During this year’s RSSC panel discussion, hosted by Ben Sillitoe of Green Retail World, we’ll be considering strategies and real-life approaches to win continued board interest with representatives from some of the UK's top retailers.
You’ll come away with realistic ideas and things you can do, looking at data capture, data management, reporting and presenting back to the board, so you can win long-term engagement and really reap the commercial benefits of a proactive sustainability strategy.
How can we help to meet your challenges? Whats coming up for our solution in 2025?
One thing that hasn’t changed since RSSC 2024 is that supply chain transparency is the key to supplier and regulatory compliance. At Segura we want to know your challenges so that we can put our minds to solving them. Our last session will cover the Segura Roadmap, presenting the latest and upcoming solutions that will further support our community of retailers, brands and wholesalers.
Finding ways to collaborate in a complex and challenging landscape
We take pride in making sure our networking event enables you to create genuine contacts and connections that will help you move forward in business. There’ll be plenty of time to meet retail delegates new and returning, to chat directly with our speakers, and to connect with solution providers from Segura, PEF Trust and Centric Software to ask questions, share stories and build your network for future success.
